Geographic Rules You Cannot Get Around
This fellowship is strictly for people based in the United States. You must be able to receive funds in the U.S. and your project must focus on communities within the U.S.
Applicants living outside the United States do not qualify regardless of how strong their idea is. Voqal Partners does not offer visa sponsorship either. If you are applying from another country, this particular fellowship is not the right fit even if your cause is similar.
Can You Keep Your Idea? Yes
One detail worth highlighting. Fellows keep full ownership of everything they create during the fellowship. Voqal Partners does not claim any stake in your intellectual property, your product or your organization. The funding is support not investment in exchange for equity or control.

How the Application Works
The application has four main parts:
- Eligibility questions to confirm you meet the basic requirements before you invest real time
- Basic details covering your project name and a short description
- The specifics where you explain the future you are trying to build your approach and what support you need. This is the heart of the application
- Additional details including any use of AI tools prior coaching experience and supporting documents

Only Eight Fellows Are Chosen Each Year
This is worth being upfront about. Voqal Partners selects just eight fellows annually. That is a small cohort by design meant to build real relationships between fellows rather than spreading resources thin across a large group.
Competition will be real. But previous applicants are explicitly encouraged to apply again and a rejected application in a prior year does not count against you. Ideas evolve and Voqal Partners seems to understand that.
