Many people learn ethics from rules. The FASPE Fellowship teaches it through history. For two weeks you study at the sites of Nazi history in Germany and Poland. You join daily seminars that ask one hard question. What are the ethical duties of a professional in times of pressure?
Applications for 2027 are open until 3 January 2027. The programme is for graduate students and early career professionals in six fields. It is fully funded.

What FASPE Is
FASPE is a programme in professional ethics and ethical leadership. It started in 2010. Fellows study the choices that professionals made during the Nazi period. Then they use those lessons to think about ethical problems in their own work today.
The course is designed with historians, ethicists and practitioners. FASPE staff two faculty members and partners in Germany and Poland run it on the ground. Fellows join seminars and dialogue sessions at historic sites linked to their profession.
FASPE says the experience goes beyond the two weeks in Europe. Fellows continue learning through in-person gatherings and online education. They take part in writing, lecturing and symposia. They also join a lifelong alumni network.
This is not a research grant. It is a study programme in ethics.
